I bought this phone a couple years ago, and it's still great. Here's some things I've learned about it:

Codes

*#06# Display phone serial number.

*#92772689# (*#warranty#) - Serial #, Made date, Programming date, Repair Date, "Transfer User Data" (unknown function). Power-off to escape.

*3001#12345 NAM settings. (I don't know).

*#5190# firmware version.

Info

You can view the phone's User Manual [1.3mb PDF] online. There doesn't seem to be much technical info available otherwise.

There will hopefully be no Y2K issues. My friend Matt seems to think differently.

2000-01-06: there have been no Y2K problems with the phone. :-)

2000-07-03: I just got the v5.81 software upgrade for the phone. It's great! Go to your local Fido store or Nokia service provider & get it. It gives you some more rings, and lets you download rings via websites like YourMobile.com

Games

They're pretty lame. But then I wasn't buying a GameBoy.
